The first fanfic completed by
Canadanne in December 2010. It describes the start of a fantasy Series 9 of
Knightmare, bringing together many of the author's favourite characters and environments, as well as some new
challenges. The title is taken from a
spyglass scene in
Series 7.
Developments include:
- The restoration of
Treguard's original
antechamber (damaged by Bulstrode at the end of Series 7), with a large new viewscreen remote-controlled by the
Reach wand.
- The
return of
Pickle (replacing
Majida) and
Skarkill (replacing
Raptor).

Lord Fear having destroyed the
elf kingdom of
Fetlock Forest in order to build another new palace, which forms part of
Level 2.
- Lord Fear's new '
Fire Wall' security system that is literally a moving wall of fire triggered by the use of spyglasses.
- The rediscovery of chambers from the first three series, which had been sealed off from the outside world, unbeknown to both the Powers That Be and the Opposition.
It also introduces a story arc that would continue throughout the
season, involving the wood elves seeking revenge on Lord Fear for the destruction of their
home.
